With headquarters in Bismarck, N.D., and a service center in Wing, Capital Electric Cooperative has provided electricity to our consumer-members in Burleigh and southern Sheridan counties since 1948. We also serve portions of Emmons, Kidder and McLean. We take pride in being progressive yet friendly, service-oriented yet energy conscious.
As a cooperative, we are owned and governed by the members we serve. Our directors on the board are elected by the membership, so they have a vested interest in the operation of the cooperative. Learn more about how Capital Electric proudly returns its margins back to the members it serves in the form of Capital Credits.

MEMBERS: If you want to make energy-efficiency upgrades to your home or place of business, NOW is the smartest, most economical time to make residential and commercial improvements. A rebate program is now available through Capital Electric Cooperative from federal stimulus funds under a grant from the North Dakota Department of Commerce.
Launched June 1, the N.D. Utility Rebate Program offers more than $2 million in rebates for electric co-op members in North Dakota for products and services such as energy-efficient central air conditioners, air-source and geothermal heating systems, energy audits, attic and wall insulation, and much more.
CAPITAL ELECTRIC/BASIN ELECTRIC MATCHING REBATE PROGRAM
In addition to the N.D. Utility Rebate Program, Capital Electric also offers a matching rebate program with one of its power suppliers, Basin Electric Power Cooperative. This program is designed to partially offset the initial investment costs of energy-efficient equipment.
The following products and maximum rebates include:
$100 Marathon water heaters
Available through December 2010, this rebate applies only to products sold by Capital Electric, based on the staff’s familiarity with particular systems and their efficiency ratings. It is not available for products sold by other companies. For more information, call Josh or Doug in the member services department today at (701) 223-1513.
