Gibbons Fiberglass is the only repair business that specializes in boat hull and fiberglass repair in North Dakota. Gibbons Fiberglass is the direct repair facility for many insurance companies and manufacturers and assures that each boat is repaired to factory specifications. We use a moisture detection meter or do a laminate profile to inspect for osmotic blistering, wicking or poxing.
We use secondary bonding, peeling and fairing techniques to make needed repairs, these skills and tools seperate Gibbons Fiberglass from auto body repair shops. We jave pver 50 years of combined experience in Fiberglas and Aluminum boat repair. We understands the complexity of boat construction and how to make long lasting repairs.
Bob Gibbons is a master marine mechanic and has repaired boats since 1968. Bob started his career in Billings, Mont. Worked in Denver, Colo. for 13 years and returned to North Dakota when he was offered the job of boat mechanic over the phone. There he noticed a need for fiberglass and aluminum boat hull repair and started his business.
Gibbons Fiberglass and Aluminum Boat Repairs was established in 1986 out of Bob's garage, after his first boat repair job, being the natural inventor that he is, this job lead him to design a special lift called "Capsizer 8000". The Capsizer 8000 will raise and turn boats so they are easier to work on.
