If youre an adult, I am not going to tell anybody that we are working together or what we talk about. Only you can decide what, if anything, gets shared with whom. There are a few really important reasons why I would ever have to tell anybody that you are coming to see me:

If you are not safe, like if you are going to kill yourself or hurt somebody, Im going to help you get safe. This is a law. I have But I want to too. So well do that together.

If you tell me about a child or somebody else who cant take care of themselves that is being abused or is in a dangerous situation where they are probably going to get hurt, you and I are going to work together to help that person get safe. Once again, the law.

If the court says they want me to present my records of our work together, Im going to get as much clarification as I can and protect as much as I can but in the end, I have to do what the court tells me.

Otherwise, if youre an adult, everything we talk about together is your business and its up to you to decide if anyone knows about it or not.

How does it work? What do you do in there?
Mostly what we do is talk. A lot depends on what works best for you. Well talk about that. Well figure out whats working and whats not. We see you as the expert on you. Weve been trained, of course, on how to help
