Advantage Appliance of Bismarck ND., was founded in 1993 by Mark Braun and Jim Buechler. The intent was to open an “old time appliance store”. Having worked in the Appliance Industry for many years Braun and Buechler had seen many transformations in the marketing of major appliances, not all for the good. The consumer was now paying delivery costs, cord and color costs, and the cost to dispose of old product. Product knowledge by sales staff was decreasing and overall customer service was going in the wrong direction. The Advantage Appliance vision was to improve on all areas of the appliance buying process. Consumers would receive not only free delivery, but free delivery within fifty (50) miles. There would be no costs for color or cords. Old product would either be recycled or given to a local charity (if operable) at no charge to the buyer. Sales and support staff would under go continual product training, and all customers would be treated with respect. We are proud to follow that vision to this day. We joined forces with the NationWide Marketing Group through NationWide West in 1995. This alliance helped us secure the increased buying power to always get the consumer the best costs available. NationWide also provided us with the means to properly train all our employees. We are proud that every sales person including management can claim the “NCA” title behind their name. NCA means Nationwide Certified Advisor. A NCA not only has received continuing education in the brands they sell, but also in all other brands. This education allows them to give you accurate advice on all your appliance questions. We are North Dakota’s only full line Whirlpool Dealer. The Whirlpool Corporation has placed their trust in us to be their exclusive independent Jenn-Air dealer and to represent them in all their other products. Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, Amana, Jenn-Air, and Estate are all proudly displayed in our stores. In addition we carry Friedrich air conditioners, Holland and Big Green Egg grills and Broan ventilation products. In 2008 a new store was added in Minot ND. While not as large as the Bismarck location, all products and services are available in Minot. We invite you to browse through our virtual store.
