Lake Region Lutheran Home, Inc. was opened in 1962. Over the years many things have changed, but our mission has remained the same. Today, we are a 74 bed skilled nursing facility operating as Heartland Care Center. Our campus includes Heartland Courts, our 49 assisted living apartments; Heartland Therapy, which provides inpatient/outpatient speech, occupational and physical therapy; and Heartland Childcare, which provides childcare 7 days a week, 18+ hours a day.
Dedicated to the glory of God and the care of His people, the Heartland Care Center, is a non-profit organization, chartered by Lutheran congregations in the Devils Lake, and surrounding areas, and is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
Heartland Care Center strives to provide a quality residence for persons requiring long-term and/or special care in the Lake Region area, regardless of, for example, sex, religion, race, national origin, or age.
This care includes attention to the physical, spiritual, emotional, intellectual, and social well-being of the resident. To accomplish this, the Heartland Care team consists of a well trained and caring staff, Administration, and Board of Directors. These people are concerned with sharing God's love for the whole person.
