Pastor's Greeting: Welcome to Messiah
Thank you for your interest in Messiah Lutheran Church, Mandan, ND. Messiah Lutheran Church is a Lutheran Community of believers on the journey of faith and life. Our entire life is a journey - from birth to baptism, from childhood to confirmation, from young adult to old age. The journey of life includes feeding on the Lord's Word in corporate worship, daily bathing in our baptism, and frequently feeding on the Lord's Body and Blood in Holy Communion.
The people at Messiah value relationships. You will find us a warm, friendly, and family-oriented fellowship of Christians. We deeply care for one another as brothers and sisters in Christ.
We also strive to connect God's Word to the lives of God's people. As we deal with the stresses and difficulties of life, God's Word is applied to our various situations in giving us forgiveness, peace, and hope. We also desire to put our faith in action which includes serving the community, having an active youth ministry, and being focused on outreach.
Jesus Christ is the center of everything Messiah preaches and teaches. He is both God and Man who came to earth to suffer and die for the sins of all people. In Him we have complete forgiveness of sins and the free gift of eternal life.
If you are looking for a church home, please contact us, or come visit us any Sunday morning. We would love to have you join us!
The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod Mission Statement: "In grateful response to God's grace and empowered by the Holy Spirit through Word and Sacraments, the mission of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod is vigorously to make known the love of Christ by word and deed within our churches, communities, and the world."
Grace Alone: God loves the people of the world, even though they are sinful, rebel against Him and do not deserve His love. He sent Jesus, His Son, to love the unlovable and save the ungodly.
Scripture Alone: The Bible is God's inerrant and infallible Word, in which He reveals His Law and His Gospel of salvation in Jesus Christ It is the sole rule and norm for Christian doctrine.
Faith Alone: By His suffering and death as the substitute for all people of all time. Jesus purchased and won forgiveness and eternal life for them. Those who hear the Good News and believe it have the eternal life that it offers. God creates faith in Christ and gives people forgiveness through Him.
